As the construction industry continues to rapidly move into the digital world, contractors need to quickly develop and understand basic emailing techniques and the use of construction software. Learning how to email correctly and efficiently is a major piece that goes into overall proficiency as a contractor. Furthermore, our industry is using specific software to offset the load of day-to-day tasks which need to be completed. Daily reporting is one of the most common routines a contractor performs. The Louisiana Department of Insurance works to improve competition in the state’s insurance market while assisting individuals and businesses to become informed consumers of insurance. As a regulator, the LDI enforces the laws that provide a fair and stable marketplace and makes certain that insurers comply with the laws in place to protect policyholders.
INSTRUCTOR: RON C. HENDERSON serves as Deputy Commissioner with the Office of Consumer Advocacy & Diversity for the Louisiana Department of Insurance. He also oversees the Senior Health Insurance Information Program (SHIIP) which assists over 70,000 Medicare beneficiaries in the state of Louisiana. With over 15 years of work experience in the insurance industry, Mr. Henderson’s expertise provides proven success, placing emphasis on insurance compliance and government regulations, along with consumer education.Prior to becoming Deputy Commissioner with the Office of Consumer Advocacy & Diversity, he served as Deputy Commissioner of the Licensing and Compliance Division where he successfully oversaw elevens years of its operations. Currently, he serves on various committees within the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC).
Ron is a 1999 graduate of Southern University Law Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and was admitted to practice law in April of 2000. He is a graduate of Southern University at New Orleans (SUNO) in New Orleans, Louisiana where he holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice.
He is a member of the National Bar Association and the Louisiana State Bar Association

As a Senior Content Strategist, Jordan’s day-to-day consists of keyword research, blog ideation, content creation, editing, newsletter creation, and strategic thinking to help boost clients ranking on Google and get more organic visitors to their website.
Jordan grew up in Miami, Florida, but moved to New Orleans in 2013 to attend Tulane University. While at Tulane she received her B.A. in English and Communications and her M.A. in English Literature. Upon graduation, she moved to New York where she worked as a B2B financial journalist. Jordan joined Online Optimism as a Content Strategist in 2020 and has worked with various clients, including a cryptocurrency network, a mobile phone charging company, a charter school network, a plumbing and drains company, and more. Jordan is always looking for new ways to optimize campaigns and help clients achieve their goals.
Savannah Bilbo, Senior Content Coordinator
Ms. Bilbo is originally from New Orleans but has lived in Texas for eight years due to Hurricane Katrina. She returned to New Orleans in 2013 to attend high school. Ms. Bilbo attended the University of Southern Mississippi for her first year of college then transferred to the University of New Orleans to be closer to family. She majored in English at UNO with a concentration in creative writing. Savannah joined Online Optimism at the beginning of 2021 as an intern and was hired as a full-time employee in May.
Sam Olmsted, New Orleans Managing Director
As New Orleans Managing Director, Sam is responsible for ensuring that the Online Optimism team is working toward its shared vision: to be the marketing agency that organizations in and around New Orleans want to employ and with people, they aspire to work for.
Sam oversees Online Optimism’s New Orleans office, pitches local companies to grow its business, and maintains relationships with existing clients with the goal of encouraging client retention. Most importantly, Sam works to keep Online Optimism’s employees happy so they can continue to produce outstanding digital marketing results for local, regional, and national clients.Images
